I'm a web developer, affiliate and fan of all things internet

My name is Phil Hancox and I'm a 25 year old web developer currently living in West Yorkshire. I have been building websites for around eight years now and currently work for Doug Richard Ltd # as well as freelance clients and my own website portfolio.

I'm well versed in HTML, CSS, PHP, MySql and Javascript (with particular preference for the jQuery library). I'm very experienced with and regularly use WordPress, and have knowledge with building plugins and extending the core framework to suit complicated projects. I have also briefly worked with BuddyPress and have built many sites from scratch with my own framework, even developing a custom CMS for a web agency that I worked for who used the framework with many clients.

I currently work for Doug Richard Ltd as web developer on many projects including School for Startups and the Entrepreneurs Union. I also heavily contributed to the first comeback version of Floxx. Aside from my day job I take freelance clients and build my own websites as an affiliate including a discount code website and sites in other sectors such as travel and mobile phones.

I started building websites back as a teenager but back then there was no code involved; I used to play with Geocities (now, sadly dead). When I got frustrated that what I put in the WYSIWYG editor wasn't what I got on the web page, I decided to learn HTML and CSS so that I could fix alignment issues myself and from then on I was hooked; learning every facet of code and how things worked.
